Nkechi Blessing and Phyna Take Their Social Media Clash to the Boxing Ring

What started as a heated exchange on social media is now heading into the boxing ring.

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday and reality TV star Phyna are set to face each other in a celebrity boxing bout on October 1, 2026, in Lagos.

The matchup, tagged “Phyna vs Nkechi,” is part of Balmoral Group Promotions’ “Chaos in the Ring” series and will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

From Online Exchange to a Celebrity Boxing Match

The planned fight follows a recent social media back-and-forth between the two entertainers.

Nkechi had criticised Phyna over her frequent involvement in online confrontations. Phyna subsequently responded by questioning why the actress had publicly addressed her, while also explaining that the pair had previously communicated about a possible movie project.

Their disagreement has now taken an unexpected turn, with both women booked to settle the rivalry inside the ring.

Nkechi Blessing Sends a Confident Message Ahead of October 1

Following the announcement, Nkechi shared promotional material for the bout and expressed confidence ahead of the encounter.

She told Phyna to “put your money on me” while indicating that she would have more to say when October 1 arrives.

Phyna is also listed as part of the fight card, although organisers have not publicly detailed the specific rules or number of rounds for their matchup.

What Else Is on the ‘Chaos in the Ring’ Card?

The Nkechi Blessing-Phyna bout is part of a wider celebrity and professional boxing event.

Other entertainment personalities, including Speed Darlington and Carter Efe, are also scheduled to feature on the card. The event will additionally include professional boxing contests.

Balmoral Promotions has said the event will be broadcast live on DAZN and SuperSport.

With October 1 approaching, attention is now shifting from the social media exchanges to the actual boxing ring.
