Burna Boy to Headline 2026 NFL Halftime Show in Paris

Nigerian Afrofusion star Burna Boy is set to headline the halftime show at the 2026 NFL Paris Game, marking another major international milestone for the Grammy-winning singer.

The NFL announced on Thursday, September 17, that Burna Boy will perform during the league’s first regular-season game in France on October 25, 2026, at the Stade de France in Paris.

Burna Boy to Perform at Steelers vs Saints Game

The historic NFL Paris matchup will see the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the New Orleans Saints.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CEST (9:30 a.m. ET), with Burna Boy taking the stage during halftime. The game is part of the NFL’s expanded 2026 International Games programme.

The NFL said the Paris performance will be one of seven halftime shows attached to its 2026 international games, spanning seven countries and four continents.

Burna Boy Returns to Stade de France

The performance will also bring Burna Boy back to a venue where he previously made history.

In April 2025, he became the first African artist to headline Stade de France, making his upcoming NFL appearance a return to a stadium that has already played an important role in his international career.

Reacting to the announcement, Burna Boy said returning to the stadium for an NFL event was particularly meaningful after his previous performance there.

“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career,” Burna Boy said.

He added that he would be representing African music during an event that will introduce the NFL to France.

NFL Praises Burna Boy’s Global Appeal

The NFL’s Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment, Tim Tubito, said Burna Boy was a natural fit for the occasion.

The league highlighted the singer’s previous history at Stade de France and the strong connection between African music and Paris.

Burna Boy’s selection places him alongside other major international performers announced for the NFL’s 2026 international games, including Ayra Starr, Ricky Martin, Pedro Sampaio, Cage The Elephant and The Warning.

Another Major Moment for African Music

The NFL Paris performance adds to Burna Boy’s growing list of appearances on major international stages.

The Nigerian star won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album for Twice as Tall and has become one of Africa’s most prominent touring artists.

His upcoming performance will also be part of a significant moment for the NFL, as the league stages its first regular-season game in France.

The full halftime performance will be broadcast live in France on France Télévisions and beIN Sports.
